Les chiens dans les arbres
Myriam Simard-Parent

In the woods, a dog leaps into a tree and vanishes... only to reappear in an artist's studio in Montreal. Moving away from her usual woodworking practice to delve into pencil illustrations, Myriam Simard-Parent draws the comic-book inspired tale of a sculptor spellbound by matter. With its playful fictionality, Les chiens dans les arbres offers a singular account of the interplay between artists and their chosen medium, a relationship whose potential for transfiguration also carries the risk of vampiric mutation.
